The Family Learning Center had a complete makeover last year. It provides a room for early child learning, younger than preschool. Each day mothers and their young children take part of developing skills that are needed whether it be learning English with Rosetta Stone, reading to children, or various hands on learning activities. Additionally the mothers interact with each other in a setting allowing for exchanges of information to receive needed help in the community.
Many of the woman at the center volunteer to help activities at the school when copies are made, or other “room parent” needs. This help allows teachers to focus on the classroom activities.
